End of summer class this week

Hello, friends,


Next week, July 23, 24, and 25, will be our last week of summer class at the Friendship House. To celebrate and have a little fun, we are planning on going to Bulldog Lanes on July 25. We are meeting at the Friendship House at 10:00 am and we will go together to the bowling alley. The cost is $10 for each person for "Lunch and Bowl". Each person pays for themself. We say "Dutch Treat". This will cover 2 games of bowling and a light lunch. Please, let me know if you plan on going or if you are bringing a friend. We look forward to seeing you! Regular Fall, 2013 free English as a Second Language Classes will begin at 9:00 am on Monday, August 26. I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!

Closed the week of July 4th

Next week is the USA's Independence Day on July, 4th. We will not have summer classes next week. I hope to see ALL of you on Tuesday, July 9, if you are in Starkville. We wil begin at 9 a.m. Have a safe and happy holiday! (P.S. The Starkville Sportsplex is the place to be to watch fireworks in Starkville. I believe the fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. and they will have free ice cream, snowcones, and other tings before, starting around 7:00 or so.)

Wednesday, July 26,2013-field trip

We do plan on taking a field trip to Mrs. Donna's farm provided the weather cooperates. If you plan on going with us, contact Tracey as soon as possible. You must be at the Friendship House by 9:00 a.m.  We look forward to seeing you! It is going to be FUN!

Summer 2013 Class has started

Tuesday, June 11, 2013, summer class at Friendship House has begun. We hope you will join us.  Let
Tracey know if you need a ride.  We look forward to seeing you on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-11 am.  

Only one more week of Spring, 2013 Spring semester

After today(April 25), we only have 4 days left of free ESL classes for the Spring, 2013 semester! Please, come next week so you can say goodbye to our friends and teachers. On Thursday, May 2, (our last day) we plan to have a potluck. If the weather is good and clear, we will go to Mrs. Donna's house for our potluck and fishing. If the weather is not agreeable then we will just have our potluck at the Friendship House. Please, join us! Our Fall, 2013 semester of free ESL classes will begin Monday, August 26.

Incentive for the rest of the semester

Hello, all!   Can you believe we only have 19 days left of our ESL classes for this semester?  Can you believe it?   Attendance has been a little low, so we thought we would give you an incentive,(an additional reason), for being in class as much as possible.   If you can come at least 16 out of the next 19 days, starting today (Tuesday, April 2, 2013), and stay for the entire 2 hours of class, you will get a special reward!   You have to come to class to find out what it is.  We hope to see you there!
